I’ve talked about the importance of planning, including vision, before.
So the post Vision and Execution are not Sequential struck a chord with me. Of course it’s true that the planning steps are not linear, but circular.
But what’s really striking is Jesse Lyn Stoner’s description of the circle as “spinning so fast that the colors turn white. You can’t see the individual parts, even though you know they’re there.” Because, all the steps are not really separate and discreet; they are all going on simultaneously. As she says, “Life doesn’t wait while you’re planning.”
I can’t do justice to her description here. She does it so much better, so be sure to read the post.
