“That’ll Never Work!”

Negativity is not a good thing.

NoBut you know, sometimes, when the buck stops with you, you do have to say “no.” But instead of saying:

  • No way!
  • Over my dead body!
  • That will never work here!
  • What were you thinking?!

There are better ways to indicate that you don’t think an idea or suggestion might not work out:

  • Ask questions.
  • Suggest modifications.
  • Pick your battles.

I’m sure you have additional thoughts and suggestions. Please share them in the comments.

Liked this post. Reminded me of a saying about stress when you’re asked to agree to something … Your. stomach says NO but your mouth says YES. All the best. Kris.
