Not far from the booming metropolis of Madison you can find the quaint village of Cross Plains (population around 3,500),which boasts a beautiful library building, completed in 2006. It is also the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified public library in Wisconsin.
The new building was constructed on the same site as the previous library, which had shared space with some village offices in some rather cramped quarters. The building is also adjacent to the community pool. As you can see the landscaping and setting are beautiful.
Read more about the building, the LEED certification, and see more photos.
See the library’s website for more about the library and the services offered. The village’s website is currently under construction.
When you’re out for a drive in south central Wisconsin, stop in Cross Plains, and see this amazing building.
