What Can We Do?

My heart is heavy.

bleeding heartThe world is a scary, and often broken, violent, place. Recent events in the United States such as the Orlando shooting, deaths of black men at the hands of police officers, and the shooting in Dallas, have sharply divided the nation. In the meantime, what, if anything, can libraries do?

I don’t know. But I believe we can offer a safe, non-judgemental, non-violent place for our communities. Perhaps, a place to heal. It happened in Ferguson, MO. It can happen again.

Love one another, people. Love has to be the answer.
